Born in the ghetto of Mpumalanga Nelspruit, Zikode aka Emmanuel Bhekumusi Zwane started his professional music career when he moved to Johannesburg in 2010. He studied sound engineering at varsity college and mentored by the infamous producer sound engineer Mpho Hlahla. Zikodes first release was with a group called 4-Front along with Emtee, Maraza and Uncle Stan. After their success as a group all members decided to pursue solo careers. Zikode has so far released an Ep titled the “New Og” with a single titled ‘Tsa Tsa” featuring Maraza. Zikode draws his inspiration from the likes of Black Coffee, The late Mendoza, 2Pac, The Game to mention a few from his long list.

He is currently featured on TTP’s Six A Side Mixtape produced by Back To The City featuring Big Zulu and Mr VIP. Zikode’s song titled “Ubaba” addressing issues about absent fathers as this issue is close to his heart as he had first hand experience and he shot a video for the song.

All that brought about his current single Hop out of the coupe a hip hop banger laced with eclectic melodies and apparent kwaito influenced beats. A true ghetto rough happy jiggy song that celebrates success, love and woman.

Zikode’s music can be found on digital spaces like iTunes, Tidal, Spotify, Amazon to mention but a few.
