Family Tree, alongside Nasty C, created one good cocktail with this one. The overall personalities and styles painted one feel-good picture from play.

Seriously, have you heard Rouge’s flow and verse on this tune? The girls effortlessly gave the streets a head bumping banger of note with this song
11. My Year- Bigstar Johnson Ft. Aewon Wolf
2016 is definitely turning out to be a good year for BigStar Johnson, as the title of this song suggests. The combination of melodies and verses from both artists here really brought this joint to life for us.
10. Couldn’t – A-reece Ft. Emtee
Since his move to Ambitiouz, A-reece hasn’t wasted anytime establishing himself as a serious hip hop contender and ‘Couldn’t’ is testament to the young rappers hunger.
9. Sidlukotini – Riky Rick
Remember the day this song dropped on Riky’s site? Remember when he kind of broke the internet because of the amount downloads that were being processed? Yes? No? Exactly.
8. JUMP – Anatii & Cassper Nyovest Ft. Nasty C
By now we should all know that whenever Anatii is involved, we can’t expect anything regular. The almost natural Anatii, Cassper & Nasty fusion here couldn’t have been ignored.
7. OH NO – L-Tido Ft. Wtf
This song dropped quite a while ago but feels so new. It’s clear that L-Tido plays the longevity card with each drop and this one is a tick.
6. Ameni – DJ Miss Pru Ft. Emtee, Fifi Cooper, Saudi, Sjava, A-reece & B3nchMarq
At first she was a house DJ and since her move to Ambitouz converted to hip hop. What a way to officially introduce herself to the hip hop culture! Welcome Miss Pru.
5. Lie 2 Me – Ma-E Ft. AKA
Straight out of his Township Counsellor album, Ma-E’s ‘Lie 2 Me’ jam is strictly sick by nature and to top it off, he unlocked AKA to feature.
4. Dreamwork – AKA Ft. Yanga
It has been a minute since the people received some new material from AKA and when he delivered, he really delivered. ‘Dreamwork’ is so levelled up that it got the whole of SA hip hop talking about it. No surprises there.
3. Ambitions – Tweezy
First of all Tweezy the producer is impressive as he is, now Tweezy the artist has exceeded expectations through dropping his first single as an artist. Getting high out of his own supply (facts).
2. Hell Naw – Nasty C
When SA hip hop’s prodigy dropped this tune, nobody could’ve anticipated the massive wave it would cause. ‘Hell Naw’ has had such a huge impact in the game that anybody could easily playlist it as their number one any day. The easy & clean perfection of this tune radiates throughout the whole of SA. The Youth have absorbed it, enough said.
