Cole’s Dreamville label was announced which was all made possible through the relationship J.I.D and Cole built during Bas and Cole’s friend/producer Cedric Brown’s tour in 2014. This new partnership birthed out J.I.D’s highly praised full length album called The Never Story that carries guest features from EarthGang, 6LACK, and Mereba. One might say that it was this album that truly shot up J.I.D’s career and since then he has placed himself at the forefront of hip hop through his abilities as an artists that came conquer many deliveries to message out a variety of topics plus feelings.
The same year as the singing announcement, J.I.D joined Cole’s 4 Your Eyez Only Tour which then lead to his appearance on the BET Hip Hop Awards cypher.
