HYPE owner and publisher Urs Honegger says: “After 17 years of HYPE being Africa’s no 1 hip hop magazine and content provider of choice, it is great to welcome our fifth editor. We are very blessed to have Sabelo on board and look forward to growing the brand under his guidance.”
And how does Sabelo feel about joining the HYPE team? “I’m excited to be joining one of the publications I grew up reading and have always dreamt of being part of. I look forward to championing its next chapter and being of service to South African hip hop,” he says.
Sabelo will be at the Cotton Fest this weekend representing HYPE, alongside HYPE playlist coordinator ON and Nothando, HYPE’s connector-of-brands-to-communities sales executive.
