Under Armour Secures Double Podium Finish at 2026 OUTsurance Gun Run

Under Armour made a strong statement at the 2026 OUTsurance Gun Run this weekend, with elite athletes Khoarahlane Seutloali and Tsepo Ramashamole securing second and third place respectively in the 21.1km race.

Olympian and major marathon champion Khoarahlane Seutloali delivered another standout performance on the Cape Town course, finishing second after claiming victory and setting the course record at last year’s event. Returning to the Gun Run as reigning champion and course record holder, Khoarahlane once again proved his ability to compete at the sharp end of the field.

Rising distance-running talent Tsepo Ramashamole completed the Under Armour podium double, crossing the finish line in third place and further strengthening the brand’s presence among the race’s elite field.

Both athletes ran in the Under Armour Velociti Elite 3, the brand’s pinnacle racing shoe, designed to deliver the propulsion, responsiveness and energy return required for high-level road racing.

Engineered with a full-length carbon-fibre plate and supercritical HOVR+ cushioning, the Velociti Elite 3 is built for speed and efficiency over long distances. The shoe combines lightweight construction with responsive cushioning to support athletes when performance matters most.

For Khoarahlane, the second-place finish adds another podium result to his Gun Run legacy, while Ramashamole’s third-place finish marks a strong showing for the rising athlete.

Beyond the race itself, Under Armour brought its performance philosophy to life through Hotel Armoure, a premium recovery experience created in partnership with ARC Recovery Centre.

Located within the race village, Hotel Armoure provided runners with a dedicated space to switch off, recover and reset after taking on the Gun Run 10km or 21.1km.

Throughout the weekend, runners could access:

  1. Ice Baths: Cold-water immersion to support post-race recovery.
  2. Recovery Boots & Sports Massages: Compression technology and targeted treatments to help tired muscles recover.
  3. Expert Guidance: Access to technical expertise and advice on performance gear designed to help runners go further.

From elite performance on the road to purposeful recovery beyond the finish line, Under Armour’s presence at the 2026 OUTsurance Gun Run demonstrated the brand’s commitment to supporting athletes at every stage of their performance journey.

With Khoarahlane taking second and Ramashamole securing third, Under Armour closed out the weekend with a double podium finish, reinforcing its position at the forefront of performance running.
