From 28 – 30 August, BOS Ice Tea is transforming Rosebank into a creative playground with its BOS Studio where anyone can step inside, switch off, make a mess and create. No agenda. No expectations. Just a chance to go BOS.
No rules, just create
Joburg is a city that moves fast, thinks faster, and knows how to make a plan. Ideas become side hustles, side hustles become businesses, and somewhere between the street corners and skyscrapers, culture gets made. Joburg’s creativity has always come with energy, and the BOS Studio exists to celebrate that spirit.
Part art space, part creative playground, the BOS studio takes all that Joburg energy and gives it somewhere to run wild. “Joburg has an incredible creative energy, but between the daily grind we don’t always get the space to use it,” says William Battersby, CEO of BOS Ice Tea. “We wanted the BOS Studio to provide an unexpected opportunity to share your creativity. A place to switch off, pick up a brush, and create without overthinking. Because Joburg has always been at its best when it’s creating.’’
At the BOS studio there are no classes. No workshops. No standing around wondering if you’re doing it right. Just music, paint, blank walls and permission to get stuck in. Whether you’re a seasoned creative or your last artistic achievement was finger painting in Grade 3, you’re welcome.
One collective portrait of JohannesburgOver the course of one weekend, every splash of paint and spontaneous stroke will become part of an evolving collective portrait of Johannesburg, created by the people who give the city its energy. The people who built this city.
You’ll find the BOS Studio between Rosebank Mall and The Zone, right outside the mall’s Woolworths entrance, from 09:00 to 17:00 on 28 – 30 August. You can’t miss the bright yellow. Entry is free, and everyone is welcome.
So if you spot a bright yellow music-filled room and someone daring you to go BOS or go home, don’t overthink it. Step inside and leave your mark.
