Lex Lafoy Bridges Digital Romance and Lyrical Prowess In New Single, “O.M.G.”

“O.M.G.” explores the modern digital landscape of romance, capturing the euphoric moment a young woman celebrates her crush liking her social media story. On one hand, the track holds up a mirror to contemporary dating culture, where likes, shares, and comments have become equated with effort and affection. On the other hand, it serves as a potent reminder of why LaFoy holds her crown. Remaining a vital force among South Africa’s elite, culture-rich, cypher-developed MCs, she delivers intricate lyrics packed with triple and quadruple entendres.

On production, Lex teams up with her long-time producer and collaborator Wes My Meds – the compositional genius behind her previously released works “Vuk Ekseni”, “Amen”, “From The Head”, “WITOTWS”, “Sushi Dip” and more recently “Tebogo Mahange”. Wes My Meds is also known for his work alongside other South African Hip Hop greats such as Kuli Chana, Loki SA, OKMalumKoolKat and the late but never forgotten AKA.

O.M.G is accompanied by a music video directed and edited by SAMA Award-winning director and editor Slimdogmillionaire, with Justin “Sweatface” McGee (known for his early works with Dirty Paraffin) as D.O.P.

Look out for O.M.G set for release this coming Women’s Month 2026, on all leading online music streaming platforms.
