BBC BRIT (DStv Channel 120) is bringing South African audiences a blockbuster Spring/Summer 2026 season, packed with award-winning dramas, hit detective series and fan-favourite entertainment shows.
The new line-up features returning favourites including Beyond Paradise, Death Valley, The Brokenwood Mysteries, Would I Lie To You?, Dragons’ Den, The Masked Singer, The Chase and Strictly Come Dancing, alongside brand-new titles A Taste For Murder, The Art Detectives, Murder Before Evensong and Benidorm is Murder.
One of the season’s biggest highlights sees South African star Johannes Radebe return to Strictly Come Dancing in a new presenting role, joined once again by fellow South African Motsi Mabuse on the judging panel.
“This season showcases everything audiences love about BBC BRIT—from compelling mysteries and much-loved entertainment formats to standout talent and exciting new acquisitions,” said Pierre Cloete, Vice-President for Africa at BBC Studios.
The Spring/Summer schedule kicks off with The Brokenwood Mysteries on 23 July, followed by Beyond Paradise (27 July), Would I Lie To You? (29 July) and The Masked Singer (2 August), with more premieres rolling out throughout the season.
Blending mystery, comedy and world-class entertainment, BBC BRIT’s latest offering promises plenty of binge-worthy television and conversation-starting moments for audiences across South Africa.
