The Floor is Open, Red Bull BC One Cyphers South Africa 2026 Calls For Best Breakers

Entries are now open for Red Bull BC One Cypher South Africa 2026, with city Cyphers taking place in Johannesburg, East London and Cape Town. The country’s top B-Boys and B-Girls will compete for a place at the National Final and the opportunity to represent South Africa at the Red Bull BC One World Final in Toronto, Canada.

This year marks the competition’s 19th year on South African soil, nearly two decades of the competition’s role in growing the country’s breaking community. Last year’s edition delivered what many called the strongest bracket the Cypher has ever seen, crowned by B-Girl Courtnaé Paul and B-Boy Toufeeq.

With last year’s champions raising the competitive standard, contenders in 2026 will have to take it off a field built on that legacy. “Red Bull BC One is more than a competition – it’s a celebration of the culture, creativity and resilience that define breaking. I’m honoured to return this year and witness the next generation of South African breakers push the boundaries of what’s possible. Every year the level rises, and I can’t wait to see who steps up in 2026.” Shared Courtnaé

The road to the National Final runs through Johannesburg, East London and Cape Town, each hosting a city Cypher where breakers battle head-to-head for a place in the Top 16 B-Boys and Top 8 B-Girls.
