BBC Earth to Celebrate Sir David Attenborough’s 100th Birthday

BBC Earth is marking David Attenborough’s 100th birthday with two new premieres and a curated lineup of his most iconic work, airing throughout May.

Leading the celebrations is Wild London (8 May, 20:00), where Attenborough turns his lens to the hidden wildlife of his home city, uncovering surprising animal life across urban London. The second premiere, Making Life on Earth: Attenborough’s Greatest Adventure (15 May, 20:00), revisits the groundbreaking Life on Earth, with new interviews and behind-the-scenes stories from its ambitious global production.

In addition, BBC Earth will air highlights from Attenborough’s legendary catalogue between 2–15 May, including Planet Earth, Blue Planet II, and Seven Worlds, One Planet, among others.

The programming celebrates a seven-decade career that has shaped how the world understands nature, bringing viewers both new stories and timeless classics.
