Savanna Serves South Africa’s Festival of Comedy (#SavannaSAFC), a platform that treats stand-up like a sports event – same energy, same pride, same DNA… with punchlines that make it truly RSA.
In its first year, South Africa’s Festival of Comedy, served by Savanna, will take the shape of a live comedy tour with a full line-up of the country’s best and emerging comedic talent, not as a traditional comedy festival, but as a national call-up to our most reliable South African superpower: laughter. Lead Curator and Captain of the SA National Team of Comedy, Trevor Noah, has selected his Vice Captain, co-host of the What Now Podcast – Eugene Khoza, and Coach, sought-after stand-up comedian and MC – Ntosh Madlingozi.
Together, these hosts will announce more dates, venues and new signings, building anticipation for what promises to be a historic squad reveal. Performances kick off in Pretoria (SunBet Arena: 5th September 2026) and Cape Town (GrandWest: 26th September 2026).
From sharp corners on the field, to sharp banter in the streets – we know that comical commentary goes together with idiski like Savanna Cider and a lemon wedge. Just like our greatest athletes never wait for permission to win, our people don’t wait for permission to be funny. So, what better way to build our world-class comedic talent than to rally behind them in the same way we support our South African sports teams?
Between May and September, the world’s number 1 cider and South Ahh’s National Team of Comedy will take the build-up to the festival on tour. Expect press-conference energy, squad announcements and “call-ups”, behind-the-scenes content from the team’s training camp, and a steady stream of Savannah-served comedy that turns everyday South African passion and pride into moments we’ll laugh at long after.
In true Mzansi fashion, the laughs won’t stay on stage either – they’ll pop up where the people are: in the streets, on screens, and on timelines.
Because… this isn’t just a comedy festival in September. It’s a national warm-up. A season of crisp, dry comedy that builds pride, hype, and talent worth showing up for in real life.
Tickets go live on Wednesday, 29th April at 09:00, ONLY ON QUICKET. Secure your seat early and come see South Africa’s National Team of Comedy do what we do best.
