A Real Milestone For the Zulu Icons

The five-time Grammy kings, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, just bodied the Metro FM Awards, fam! They walked away with three heavy plaques: Best Collaboration, Best Afro Pop, and the crown jewel — Global Icon. That night was straight legendary, a real milestone for the Zulu icons.

They’re still moving the culture worldwide, timeless flows that never get old. But they ain’t do it alone. Big shoutout to the manager and the executive producer who held it down heavy — y’all vision and grind made this victory possible. Respect! Also, big ups to the collaborators, Mbuso Khoza and Nduduzo Makhathini. Y’all brought that fire to the album and helped cook up these wins.

And real talk… these awards are going straight up to the ancestors. Dedicated to the founder, Dr Joseph Shabalala, and co-founder Albert Mazibuko, who just got laid to rest last week. Tears in the eyes, but the spirit still ridin’ with the crew. Your legacy, the blueprint — we keep pushing in your name.

This ain’t just wins, it’s proof of resilience, real unity, and that unbreakable Zulu spirit. From the streets to the global stage, Ladysmith Black Mambazo is still the definition of class, culture, and classic. Afro Pop royalty forever, we out here celebrating legends. Salute!
