After the resounding success of the Play Sobering Fashion Mixer in July, Power Play Energy Drink and The Sobering Podcast are proud to announce the next installment in their groundbreaking series of industry conversations: the Play Sobering Content Mixer, taking place on 25 September 2025 in Johannesburg.
The July edition saw an unforgettable panel featuring artist and Creative Director at Era by DJ Zinhle – Nomuzi Mabena; Lecturer at STADIO – Anya Potgieter; Ntsika Tyatya – Culture and Communications Lead at MAXHOSA Africa; and Founder and Head Designer for GALXBOY, Thatiso Dube; who came together to share insights into the hustle, creativity, and future of South African fashion. The event brought together designers, stylists, entrepreneurs, and culture shapers in a high-energy evening that highlighted the power of collaboration and storytelling within the fashion space.
Now, the conversation shifts to content – one of the most vital industries shaping culture today. The Play Sobering Content Mixer will bring together a diverse set of voices to unpack how content is created, consumed, and monetized across multiple mediums. From traditional platforms such as television, film, and radio, to the fast-moving world of digital media, podcasts, and influencing, the discussion will explore the evolution of content, its role in shaping identity, and the opportunities it holds for South African creatives.
