Fresh off the golden-hour magic of Johannesburg, the iconic Corona Sunsets Festival will return to Clifton, Cape Town, on Saturday, 21 March 2026. A staple on South Africa’s cultural calendar, the festival promises a breathtaking fusion of music, nature, and connection — set against the spectacular backdrop of the Mother City’s coastline.
Guided by its “More Than Music” philosophy, the Cape Town edition will invite festivalgoers to pause, reconnect, and embrace golden hour with intention. Expect curated wellness workshops, sustainable food gardens, live art, and interactive performances designed to engage all the senses.
Johannesburg’s sold-out edition at Casalinga in Muldersdrift drew 12,000 festivalgoers and showcased world-class performances from Major League DJz, DBN Gogo, Jeremy Loops, Zakes Bantwini, DJ Kent, FKA Mash, Oscar Mbo, 340ML, and the Ndlovu Youth Choir. Beyond the music, the festival featured monumental art by Daniel Popper, a Corona-branded hot air balloon, aerial acts, and the unforgettable Sunset Moment, highlighted by the Ndlovu Youth Choir’s moving performance of When the Sun Goes Down.
The Johannesburg leg also introduced the More Than Music Pavilion, spotlighting voices in mindfulness, movement, and sustainability — from yoga and meditation sessions with Dr. Anesu Mbizvo to inspiring activations under the Protect Our Sunset initiative.
For the first time, the Corona Sunsets Festival reached millions nationwide through an exclusive SABC partnership, which broadcast the event live across SABC 1, S3, and SABC Plus — amplifying its cultural impact far beyond the venue.
