Charley Dixon Drops Empowering Afro-Tech Anthem “Get Up” Featuring Yedda

South African Afro-tech DJ and producer Charley Dixon has officially released her new single “Get Up”, featuring the soulful vocals of Yedda, under the label Intascore. The track is now available on all digital platforms.
With its futuristic Afro-tech production and emotionally charged delivery, “Get Up” is a call to action—encouraging listeners to rise above fear, stop waiting, and move boldly toward their goals. It’s an anthem about courage, freedom, and self-belief.

“This song is about stepping into who you are without fear,” Dixon shares. “It’s about shaking off hesitation and going after the life you want. For me, it’s personal—but I know it’s a message many people across South Africa need to hear.”

Originally from Barkly West near Kimberley, Dixon’s rise in the electronic scene began at Volume Music Academy in Braamfontein, where she honed her DJing and production skills. She made her debut as a producer in 2023 with the heartfelt single “Wagga”, a tribute to her late father. Since then, she’s steadily carved out her space in the male-dominated Afro-tech landscape—bringing both emotional depth and sonic innovation to her music.

“Get Up” is the first release from a forthcoming body of work that will explore themes of identity, elevation, and unity. Dixon’s growing wishlist of dream collaborations includes names like Toshi, Msongi, Jordan Arts, Mpho Wav, Black Motion, and Spice Drumz. Whether she’s behind the decks or in the studio, Charley Dixon is emerging as one of South Africa’s most compelling voices in Afro-electronic music.
