Ginger Trill with the socio-political commentary on his new video

Ginger Trill has released a video for “PRAY [$iGN OF THE TiME$]”, which was initially dropped on Soundcloud as a surprise release a few weeks ago.

The video features a 2011 speech by Archbishop Desmond Tutu, in which he criticized the South African government for being worse than its apartheid predecessor and expressed his intention to pray for its downfall after it delayed issuing a visa for the Dalai Lama. The speech aligns with the song’s lyrics, particularly the lines “The leaders ba Sechaba ba re busetsa morago /Who supposed to look out for our survival,” addressing the state of living and how South African political leaders treat citizens.

The music video effectively captures the state of living in South Africa through its locations and visual angles. It’s a powerful portrayal of South African life that resonates with the audience.
