Temgazi is the R&B artist to check

R&B music in Africa is home to many talented artists, and Temgazi is one such songstress who is making waves with her music. She is someone to look out for as she is already touring the world, with a bright future ahead of her. Her unique style and beautiful voice make her stand out from the crowd.

Temgazi recently released her latest single ‘Worst Way’, a heartbreak R&B anthem that digs deep into the emotions of a past toxic relationship. The song is a reflection of her own experiences and offers a therapeutic release. Her upcoming debut EP, set to release at the end of the year, will feature more such songs that will connect with her audience on a deeper level.

In 2023, Temgazi set the foundation for her career with a performance at the Forum Theatre in Melbourne, followed by the release of her single ‘I’WAY’ (with Saint Lane and Purpose). The music video for the song was featured as ‘video of the week’ for Rolling Stone and Tone Deaf. She also performed on Triple J’s ‘Bars of Steel’, which helped her gain wider recognition. Her two more singles “Radar” and “Voodoo” were featured on popular playlists such as R&B Connect, R&B Feels, New Music Friday Ghana and Blue ZA on Spotify, and premiered on CADA and Triple J. Her performances at Sanaa Fest (Adelaide), Motherland Festival (Sydney), and Promiseland Festival (Gold Coast) alongside Ms Lauryn Hill and Tems, were all showstoppers.

Temgazi’s debut headline shows are still to be announced, but until then, she will be releasing more R&B singles and ballads with accompanying visuals and telling her story through her music. Let’s support our sisters in R&B and listen to Temgazi’s music.
