A few days ago we reported on a single Dibi released titled ”PLASTIC’, that was accompanied with a clean set of visuals. Little did we know that the ‘PLASTIC’ is the lead single for his new EP titled WHIM!.
The song opens with a hard hitting bass lead song in ‘OVERDUE’. The song sees Dibi deliver a freestyle-esque lyrics and despite the single being simplistic in its construction, it is filled with quality and punchlines from the Eastern Cape native. ’60 SECONDS’ sees the rapper deliver more of the same and comparably the sound is reminiscent of something that US rapper Dababy would jump on. Dibi closes off the EP with ‘THIS & THAT’, which is comparably less of an aggressive sound in comparison the to the aforementioned songs. ‘THIS & THAT’ is a fitting outro to the EP as it perfectly captures the essence of the EP in the sense that it feels like the songs were created freely and on a whim – all pun intended.
