Self-proclaimed ‘African Giant’ and Nigerian superstar, Burna Boy has finally come through with the latest offering of his brand new seventh studio album titled, I Told Them.
Released under Atlantic Records, the new album includes a full list of 15 tracks, featuring guest appearances from renowned artists such as; GZA, 21 Savage, Dave, Seyi Vibez, RZA, J. Cole, and Byron Messia.
Along the list each song, each does its own in carrying its own unique blend and style, while enlightening the mood as delve deeper further into the album. A truly remarkable project, it brings forth melodic beats and instrumentals that match up well, falling in together one after the other, to present a well executed project that leaves long to be remembered.
Through collaborative efforts the album’s singles standout on the project to bring something different from the usual aspect of re-imagining Burna’s career and footsteps in the industry to his position on the album. While falling through after his highly favoured Grammy nomination for “Love, Damini” we can well truly see just how much Burna’s career has developed over the years, and the significant pinnacle moments of his musical journey that stands to nothing short, but amazing!
Sharing inspiration behind the new album, Burna shared a series of tweets of his timing success and his achievements over time.
“I was going through my old tweets and I saw all the things I said I was going to do.”
“I saw all the things I said I was going to achieve, and I realized that I had actually achieved them all. So I thought, ‘I told them!’,” Burna said in an interview.
