Bas & Ayra Starr feature on the new Creed III soundtack

The Creed III soundtrack has arrived, courtesy of Dreamville Records. Fans have been patiently awaiting the album since ComplexCon 2022, where Michael B. Jordan dropped some big news about the project. “I’m probably gonna get in trouble,” Jordan said during a ComplexCon panel. “Dreamville is executive producing this album.”

Founded by J. Cole, Dreamville Records has built an impressive talent roster that includes names like Bas, Ari Lennox, Earthgang, and Cozz. They all appear on the Creed III soundtrack along with other heavy-hitters: EST Gee and Big Sean connect on “Anthem (Soundtrack Version)”; Tierra Whack and BJ the Chicago Kid link with Dreamville’s JID on “In the Room”; SiR and Syd handle “Lay Up”; solo offerings come from Cole with “Adonis Interlude (The Montage),” Kehlani (“Shadows”), and Ari Lennox (“Greater”). Also in the mix are Blxst, Arya Star, Symba, Morray, Lute, and more.

Dreamville worked on the album alongside Proximity Media (Ryan Coogler, Ludwig Göransson, Archie Davis), Outlier Society (Jordan), and executive music producer Frank Brim. According to a press release, the imprint aimed “to create a musical experience that fit not just the film’s needs but one that will be celebrated as its own piece of art—inspired by both the film and the coming together of various artists on a soundtrack that matches the film’s acclaim and impact on community and culture.”

The album arrives in tandem with the U.S. premiere of the film, which marks Michael B. Jordan’s directorial debut. The 36-year-old also stars in the sequel alongside Jonathan Majors, Tessa Thompson, Phylicia Rashad, and Florian Munteanu.

Ralph Lauren and MGM Studios have also teamed up on a special Creed III suit collection. The Made to Measure program delivers six looks worn by Jordan’s Adonis Creed throughout the film. The pieces, visible below, are available now at select Ralph Lauren stores and online.
