From YoungstaCPT and producer Shaney Jay Dreams Dont Pay Bills project comes the single ‘DAGGA’ which the duo just highlighted with visuals directed by iLLRow.
The song tells the story of how YoungstaCPT got into selling weed and what came with it.
One of YoungstaCPT’s strengths as an MC, storytelling carries ‘DAGGA’, as he paints vivid pictures with words, rapping:
“Remember the lonely stoner, long before corona/ Matriculated high school, middle finger diploma/ No more government grants according to Carte Blanche/ Hearing negative remarks, started investing in plants/ Grew it in the yard, now we drying it in jars”
It’s a layered story that involves moving to Hillbrow and one in which YoungstaCPT namedrops MarazA, accompanied by a visual that isn’t short on shots of the herb.
The visuals show YoungstaCPT rapping at the back of a police van, as he raps about being arrested for his investment.
