Cassper Nyovest Shares A Rap Monologue With New #ThePressure

Cassper Nyovest has just dropped off a new rap record called #ThePressure (produced by K1ng) like he said he would… This almost 5min record finds Cassper Nyovest letting out what’s been on his mind lately which includes topics that tie into his life, family, career and overall celebratory to give us a vulnerable sonic experience. It starts off with him announcing the time and place (5am in Central London) he recorded this before he starts off with addressing how people think he changed which he responds by stating he’s still in love with the art and the art could be “hip hop” in this case when you consider the amapiano vs SA hip hop debates Cassper has been involved in… We also hear Cassper briefly talk about how Nadia Nakai’s departure from Family Tree left him alone, essentially taking things back to how they were when he was his solo focus which is bittersweet because we can assume some friendships were hindered throughout the process even though he is doing very well in all aspects of his business/music life…

There’s a lot being said here by Cassper as in other moments he mentions his son being sick (which is making him go through hell), how his fans used to be proud of him (think about those “Fill Up” moments), how many thought his enemies would succeed over him and how he has endured through all of the “hate” in addition to giving them pressure… You definitely need to spend some time re-listening to capture all that’s being said here but have your first pay below and share your interpretations.
