To create the EVDNT UltimateWaffle, Vans leveraged decades of experience in skate shoe technology and its newly developed UltimateWaffle outsole construction to create the perfect lifestyle shoe for all-the-time wear. “The overall idea was to keep all the durability and function of a skate shoe and add the comfort and cushioning of an everyday shoe,” said Nathanial Iott, senior director of footwear design at Vans.

For the initial delivery, the EVDNT UltimateWaffle comes in a robust colour scheme in shades of blue and grey—just neutral enough to be versatile, but bold enough to stand out in a crowd. An asymmetrical perforated leather vamp and flipped iteration of Vans’ iconic Sidestripe lend a unique appeal to this shoe, while the translucent outsole makes it a true showstopper.
