Canon Commits To The Next Generation Of Storytellers With Its Student Development Programme

Now in its fifth consecutive year, Canon is proud to call for entries for this year’s Canon Student Development Programme. The importance of photography and supporting its rising stars has become more apparent than ever this year, as it has the power to shape the world’s perceptions, tell stories and make history.

This year being the second digital edition of the Programme, will see selected students from Europe, Middle East and Africa receiving expert coaching by some of the world’s leading photo professionals, including Canon Ambassadors such as visual artist Laura El-Tantawy and two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist Muhammed Muheisen, as well as inspirational digital lectures.

Since 2017, over 800 students have attended the Programme, resulting in real success stories of talents that have gone on to establish incredible careers in photojournalism and as documentarians.
