Short Story Of Upcoming Rapper EverythingLlyod

Itumeleng Kunene, stage name EverythingLloyd was born 20 June 1998 and raised in the Free State, QwaQwa. At the age of 12, he moved to Vaal, Gauteng and that’s where he completed his high school career at Residensia Secondary School. In 2016, he moved to Pretoria to continue his studies. He studied Fire Technology at Tshwane University of Technology but unfortunately due to financial difficulties, he was financially excluded. With both parents unemployed and the belief that there are no opportunities where he’s from, he began looking for work to support his life in Pretoria.

The young rapper then found a job at In City Ink Tattoos and Body Piercings as a shop assistant. A few months into working, he fell in love with the art of tattooing and began learning how to draw and about the craft behind tattooing. He believes he’ll become a great tattoo artist in the near future. Whilst working at In City Ink, he met Babybrian. Babybrian is a musician and Itumeleng would help him promote his music to the masses. On a random day Evan Excsv who is also a musician passed by In City Ink to take both Itumeleng and Babybrian to the studio.

During this session, Itumeleng says: “I was just on my phone and a beat was playing nonstop and I eventually started writing on it and that’s how my first song came about…. I took time to really make a decision about doing music as a lifetime career and only understand that it’s really what makes me happy and the life of an artist is almost my second nature.” It was helping a friend that led to the birth of EverythingLloyd.

All the time he spent in the studio developed his love for the music industry and the two friends became a duo named TattooMusic. From writing his first song in March 2020, EverythingLloyd and Babybrian, commonly known as TattooMusic later went on to drop 3 singles in November 2020. All 3 singles are available on all streaming platforms. Last but not least, the song that birthed EverythingLloyd will be released on the 5th of March 2021. This is the first song EverythingLloyd has ever written that also made him decide to pursue making music as a career.

EverythingLloyd has performed at ICY Friday, TUT social events and the Benluc Fashion Show but unfortunately due to covid-19, a lot of gigs had to be canceled. You can still look forward to his debut album dropping this Spring in the meantime.
