So last night we joined Una Rams for a private listening taste for his upcoming new EP called crush. Now you should already know that tomorrow the wavy baby will be dropping off a new singled called ‘shy’ right… that stems from this upcoming project by the way. The intimate session started off with Una sharing some personal experiences that all led to this point and we also got a look at a short BTS clip that showcased some of the crush work that took place prior. We also got treated to 3 new songs, with one of them being ‘shy’ and one called ‘sixth sense’ featuring Shekhinah.
crush will be his official follow-up to the 2018 Wavy Baby EP making it his second solo EP. It will be coming in with a 7-track offering and is said to bring together “sound motifs from around the world; reggae rhythms akin to those of the Caribbean, Venda waxings about love a l’Afrique du Sud, and afrobeats reminiscent of viral Nigerian and
Ghanaian wedding videos to name a few”.
Its also said that crush is the story of love conquering all and with ‘shy’ being the first single off this EP to “set the tone for the nature of the listening experience fans can expect from Una Rams. Inviting a significant other to love while sharing one’s own love for them opens the door for the other six tracks to perfectly elicit warm sentiment around relationships and their ardour”.
Yo enough said, what we heard was crazy and although we don’t have an official release date yet we are eager to be led to fall in love again…
