New Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Grateful Dead’

After being teased for some months, some official images & info for the new Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Grateful Dead’ have surfaced online. For those that don’t know, Grateful Dead was an American rock band formed in 1965 and this new Nike offering serves as a collaboration that uses the band’s most lovable symbol, the marching bears, which appear on the back cover of the group’s 1973 History of the Grateful Dead, Volume 1 (Bear’s Choice) album.

This pack will come in three colorways,’Opti Yellow/Blue Fury’, ‘Green Spark/Soar’ & ‘Opti Orange/Green Fury’ (not pictured), that are all centered around the look of the bears with two-tone uppers crafted of faux-fur and suede accented by some barbed framed midfoot Swooshes. Other branding details come in the form of bear tongue tags, a “NIKE” heel embroidery, and marching bear printed insoles. To bring it all 360 the plush takes are midsole and rubber outsole pairings that continue the two tones found on the upper.

The ‘Opti Yellow/Blue Fury’ and ‘Green Spark/Soar’ colorways drop July 24 while the ‘Opti Orange/Green Fury’ colorway drop July 18.
