Last year we were all celebrating AKA’s deal and sneaker with Reebok as it was a huge move seeing a local star designing and releasing his own sneaker. The shoes unsurprisingly sold out because of the love that fans have for AKA and the special moment but now it seems that there was a bad taste to it all. This morning AKA answered a series of questions regarding that deal with Reebok which ended in December last year contractually. He also added more explanations on Twitter as to why that deal wasn’t a perfect picture because he actually wasn’t getting any cent from it as well as other in-depth issues that pretty much did not make any sense.
Peep his tweets below:
Can you believe they didn’t pay me a single cent for this? … not one cent. https://t.co/EgW8AKkXBA

Probably never again. They refused to give me any sort of payment or royalty. https://t.co/WB0L9AzTcF

There was no contract. Only my contract as an ambassador. A contract regarding the #SNEAKA doesn’t even exist. https://t.co/GG8YMDip7p
