Cape Town-based artist Nelson Stevens, better known as Tembipowers, just dropped off a new EP called Couldn’t Clear The Samples today. This comes after he teased the drop with that triller video and of course held a young listening session last night with Grade Africa on IG Live. This is a track body of work that was originally supposed to be on his first debut, but because he “‘couldn’t clear the samples’” he decided to give to us this way. Each record has samples from an old classic record that related to him as a kid, with a little “modern twist” to them. Jordan Baker is the only feature that comes through here.
