Money Badoo

Money Badoo (Jade Alves) was born on the 12th of October 1996. She was raised in a small town called Ennerdale, in the South of Johannesburg Gauteng. Money Badoo attended Mid-Ennerdale Primary School and concluded her schooling career at Fred Norman Secondary School. In a pursuit to fulfill her love for education and social development, she later obtained an international online teaching certificate, which landed her a job at a company called MPC where she taught English online. Having written her first song at the age of 12, money Badoo has always had a passion for music, so much that she decided to put her teaching career on hold to fulfill her lifelong dream of being a pop artist. Money Badoo writes and records music on a daily basis and to date has released hit singles such as, ‘Row Your Boat’ (RYB) and ‘All My Friends’ which can be found on music streaming platforms. Her music content and style are inspired by how she feels on the inside and the current events in her life at that moment. “I always try and be as unique to myself as possible by telling my own story through my life”, she says. She also listens to the likes of Travis Scott, Rihanna, FKA Twigs, Doja Cat, Drake, Erykah Badu, J.Cole, Kendrick Lamar who inspire her musically.
