This Heritage Month Reebok Releases Its Iconic ‘Club C’ #DualThreats

Born on the court in the 80’s, Reebok have reshaped the culture of its iconic past with the revival of the Reebok Club C sneaker.

Never one to conform to reshape the culture of fashion, Reebok South Africa continues to reinvigorate its classic and iconic range of sneakers to the modern consumer.

Born on the court in 1985, the story of Reebok iconic Club C involves fur tennis shoes, namely Reebok’s Revenge Plus, the Club Champion, the Club Classic, and the Monterey. The Club Champion and the Club Classic are particularly important as they were the basis of what the Club C has evolved to today. With the sneaker only available in men’s sizing, the range was eventually cut short in 1989 with a few pairs intermittently available throughout 1990.

Available in stores from 13 September 2019, the new rendition of this vintage kick is bolstered with soft leather upper materials offering both superior quality and support, while its low-cut design enables continued freedom of movement for the ankle as well as quicker foot transitions.

The Club C’s die-cut EVA midsole provides a lightweight layer that absorbs foot impact, and together with its high abrasion rubber outsole means that traction on or off the court is always a priority. The timeless Reebok window box logo amps up the look of the Club C for a casual yet sophisticated style trend.

In celebration of the reinstatement of the Club C, Reebok have partnered with its hip hop brand ambassadors to showcase the individuality that the Club C evokes.  Do you see your style as an extension of your individually much like the Supa Mega and Bragga do?
