Congratulations are the order of the day as AKA’s LEVELS hits a staggering Multi-Platinum album certification milestone, equating to an epic 7 X Platinum. This just in, as the music industry pays tribute to the 5th anniversary of its release, throughout the month of July.
LEVELS not only gave rise to a slew of chart-topping singles which are still enjoying support at radio such as ‘All Eyes On Me’, ‘Run Jozi (Godly)’, ‘Congratulate’, ‘Sim Dope’, ‘Kontrol’ and ‘Jealousy’ – it has also amassed over 11.9 Million video views and in excess of 28 Million combined streams. LEVELS went on to earn the Super Mega 4 SA Hip Hop Awards (2014), Most Gifted Hip Hop (Channel O Awards), and 6 Metro Fm (14th) nominations, winning in the category Best Collaboration for the song ‘All Eyes On Me’. In the following year AKA won Best Male Artist of The Year [SAMAXXI], ‘Run Jozi (Godly)’ was nominated for Best Collaboration, ‘Congratulate’ was nominated for Record of the Year, and LEVELS was nominated for Best Rap Album. AKA was also nominated BET’s BEST AFRICAN Artist and nominated MTV MAMA’s BEST MALE in 2015.
