Burna Boy and DJDS recently dropped off some new visuals for their ‘Thuggin/Darko’ song. The song comes off their collaborative Steel & Copper EP that dropped last week. Directed by Daniel Regan, the new video is quite deep with its meaning as it as 2 halves with the first half making use of black & white effects set in a scene that finds Burna feeding two toddlers before engaging with an elderly lady (mother figure). Although the first half intices a family bond it also showcases Burna in a stressful stage which is a big contrast as we get to see him shouting over a phone call and witnessing his friend get shot. The second half was then captured in colour and continues the narrative by depicting a funeral ceremony for the shit friend taking place which has a more celebratory attitude compared to the beginning. The song definitely has light and dark aesthetics…
