Watch Drake Open Up About His Beef With Kanye West & Pusha T

On the latest episode of LeBron James and Maverick Carter‘s The Shop, Drake stopped by to talk about a variety of topics that extend all the way to the mother of his child, his relationship with his parents and eventually leaving the rap game. His beef with Kanye and Pusha was the highlight though as Drake used the interview to finally reveal his side of his beef with Kanye West and Pusha T. Now according to Drake, the beef began before the release of Scorpion and Ye. Kanye initially pushed Drake to reveal details about his fifth studio album with a speech when he said “I’m in a great place, I’m making money, and I’m a father, and I wanna be Quincy Jones and help you, but in order to do that, you’ve gotta be transparent with me. And you gotta play me your music, and you gotta tell me when you’re dropping. And I know you don’t like to do things like that.” Then things began to get weird after Kanye played Drake ‘Lift Yourself’ and offered the song to him with the condition that he would need to join his Wyoming sessions. Noah “40” Shebib actually arrived in Wyoming a day early and warned Drake that “something’s off.” Eventually just working on Kanye’s music, Drake said that he had a conversation with ‘Ye about his personal problems, even showing him a picture of his then-secret son.
