South African rising hip hop star, Michael M.I.C, released a new single titled ‘That Thing’ which is a pretty catchy Trap song infused with some notable lyricism. It’s said that the song was inspired by M.I.C’s frustration about the Industry as he felt like everyone was copying what everyone else was doing when he dropped the joint.
“There’s nothing wrong with being influenced but we have to make the sound our own. Hence the song is themed around the popular South African phrase ‘That Thing’ but still using a sound that appeals to the masses” – Michael M.I.C
