In January, Rich The Kid announced that he and Kendrick Lamar had some new music coming and even posted a picture of himself and Lamar in the studio. Now the new joint called ‘New Freezer’ premiered on Zane Lowe’s World Record on Beats 1 Radio. In an interview with Zane, Rich explained how the song came together.
“I played two records. I had just recorded “New Freezer” recently,” he said, explaining that Kendrick was immediately impressed by the track. “Right when he heard it, he’s like ‘yo, who else on this song?!’… ‘Yo I gotta get on this one, this shit dumb!'” – Rich The Kid
