adidas Sales Grew Nearly 20% in Their First Quarter of 2017

adidas clearly had a pretty good start to the year with the brand’s sales increasing by 18.9% to $6.04 billion USD in the first quarter of 2017. The growth, which  means that operating profit has risen by 28.8% to $637.3 million USD, was directed by increased sales in every part of the world other than Russia, with particularly big increases in North America (up 31%) and China (30%). adidas’s Chief Executive Officer, Kasper Rorsted, expressed that this better-than-expected growth was because consumer demand for their products was strong across the world. This news also comes after a record-breaking 2016 for the German sportswear brand, with it being the first-ever year that its profits broke the $1 billion USD mark. Major!
