I remember the first time I heard ‘Travellin Man’ by Mos Def, I was shocked at the power of his lyrical ability and how well it linked up with the instrumental beats of the song. Not only was I impressed with the production quality, I must say that listening to Mos Def go in hard like that and rapping like he was in a cypher and he didn’t want to choke or lose his street cred, made me fall in love with the track. The storytelling ability he portrayed in the song and how he creates pictures in your mind just by using words say a lot!
