While fans celebrate Beyonce’s Lemonade album going platinum, her lawyers are busy fighting a new lawsuit pointing to the album’s striking trailer.
According to Hollywood Reporter, independent filmmaker Matthew Fulks is apparently suing the Queen for allegedly copying his short film called Palinoia, for her visual trailer of Lemonade prior to its global release. In the lawsuit, Fulks says that he cited nine similarities between his piece and Beyonce’s teaser.
Fulks further said that he was contacted about the opportunity to direct a video by a Columbia-signed musical group called MS MR, and as a result, links to his film were sent to others including Bryan Younce, who has created videos for Beyonce before.
