It has been more than two years of court battles between rapper Khuli Chana and the SAPS‚ since Chana was shot by the cops in 2013 in a case of mistaken identity. Now finally a settlement has been reached, which is estimated to be around a whopping R2 million. Although the Police refused to pay the amount‚ despite apparently agreeing to this settlement. Khuli took the matter to the Johannesburg High Court and on Wednesday received the confirmation that a settlement would be reached.
“I am thankful to be alive. Justice has been served. I want to put this behind me and focus on the future and my music‚ which I want to be my greatest legacy beyond this trauma.” Khuli Chana
