Among many other things, on Cassper Nyovest’s chilling ‘Dust 2 Dust’ expose, the prince of Maftown claims that AKA hasn’t “had a hit without a feature,” rapping: “you depend on n*ggas, you a leach and you’re good / at using vernac rapper to appeal to the hood.” One of the hits he is referring to is AKA’s most universal single to date ‘Congratulate’, which was co-written by none other than JR, who has been public about the fact that he worked extensively on AKA’s album.
Cassper raps: “let’s tell them how JR write Congratulate.” With the prior allegation that AKA had stolen Anatii’s instrumental as well as the first verse on ‘Composure’, this accusation didn’t help to bring hope to AKA believers who were starting to get nervous at the possible prospect that their lord and saviour might not be responsible for his most successful music efforts. Well, JR decided to take to Twitter last week to clear thing up once and for all:
