Tyler, the Creator Opens Up About Being Banned From The UK

During the beginning of last week, Tyler announced that he had to cancel shows in the UK because he has been banned from entering the country. And this week, he finally spoke out.

During an interview this past week, Tyler told his side of the story by saying that “Monday was one of the shittiest days I’ve ever had”.  A border force officer had shown him the lyrics from singles that he had on his 2009 and had then been accused of being homophobia and supports acts of terrorism. “The thing that irks me about it is that the paper saying I am denied entry to the UK clearly states that these songs were written from [the perspective of] an alter ego – which means they obviously did some research on these songs that they’re detaining me for” said Tyler

Tyler continues to defend himself by saying “I’m not like this! You could watch any interview and see my personality, see the guy I am. I wouldn’t hurt a fly.”

Many of artist have been banned from different countries. From 50Cent, Eminem., Jay-Z, Chris Brown and Snoop to name a few. But because of this statement, this bares the question, are things subject to change for Tyler?
