Recap: MTV African Music Awards 2015

The MTV Africa Music Awards took place this past weekend in KZN uniting African Music. The show was nothing less than spectacular despite the absence of the American rapper Young Thug was set to hit the stage but instead got into an altercation with Weezy.

The show was filled with performances from AKA’s ‘All Eyes On Me’ with Burna Boy, Da L.E.S and surprise guest performer Stonebwoy joining him on stage. Cassper Nyovest gave us a different kind of performance and added a Panstula feel to his set rather than hip hop. The international guests NeYo, Jhene Aiko and the host Anthony Anderson were more than excited to be part of this years’ MAMA’s. And judging by social media, you loved every second.

Do you think hip hop reigned supreme this year?
