After a year of dropping his album, countless performances and chart topping singles, AKA’s album has finally gone gold.
Not more than a month ago, two singles from LEVELS, ‘All Eyes On Me’ and ‘Run Jozi’, reached gold certification, selling over 20 000 units. But now that gold is the new standard, with K.O, iFani and Cassper wearing the badges on their chests, it was never quite official until the album did the numbers too.
The 2015 MAMA nominated artist took to Twitter late last night to announce the news to his fans from his “London apartment” where is stationed at the moment for his European tour. He also thanked all his collaborators individually, but not before sending his Twitter troops on the haters, writing: “I want you to hunt down every damn salty tweet about us not going gold and give them hell.”
With more albums on the way, who do you think can potentially hit gold nex? Ma-E, Kid-X and DreamTeam are all set to drop their albums soon
