Yesterday the Doro Super Mega had social media in a massive frenzy when he posted a picture of himself lying in a hospital bed, with a location that read: Sandton Medi Clinic.
The caption, which simply said “exhaustion” was just as ominous as the image, giving no information at all, leaving everyone to connect the dots and come to their own assumptions. A previous tweet from AKA read “schedule so crazy it’s like it’s December,” which was followed by a series of tweets showing him performing at shows in different cities on the day and doing album signings at Musica.
AKA has been touring endlessly since February, in SA and in West and Central Africa. Most recently the work has doubled up with the release of Levels Unlocked. He has also been preparing for a 2 week European tour, which he kicks of this week, so we can imagine the dude is a little more than lethargic. In previous years we’ve seen Rick Ross, August Alsina, Lil Wayne and most recently Juicy J have public collapses and even seizures, caused by the combination the lack of sleep, overworking, excessive traveling and bad diet that artists who are ob the move usually deal with.
We’re just glad the homie is okay now. Otherwise who else would play bad guy?
