Ice Prince Visits The Breakfast Club: Discusses Africa & Meeting Jay Z

The Breakfast Club on New York City’s Power 105.1 is basically the biggest radio platform for hip hop culture in the world. From Hova, to Kanye, Mark Ecko, Mariah Carey, Spike Lee; everyone who is relevant in urban culture (and beyond) has sat their butts on that notorious seat. This week, Nigera’s Ice Prince joins that list.

During his trip to the USA for the annual music festival SXSW held in Texas where Ice was performing, he took the opportunity to stop by the station and chat to its hosts Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy and Angela Yee. In his interview he discusses South Africa, meeting Jay Z, working with Wale, and the  Nigerian music scene. He also shouts out mentor and fellow Naija rapper M.I Mabaga, citing him as his biggest influence.

Of course this is a Breakfast Club interview, so all of this was spoken about in between hilarious sexually inappropriate comments, odd questions, and the occasional typical ‘Africa’ questions. You can view the dope interview below:
