One of the most successful hood entrepreneurs, Dr. Dre, stopped by to chat to Big Boy’s Neighbourhood, the popular radio slot on Power 106 based in California, this past week to discuss a range of things. Considering that the Aftermath boss very rarely does media, this was a billion dollar conversation between the two L.A natives.
Dre addressed the Straight Outta Compton movie, based on the story of rap group NWA, set to be in cinemas later on in the year. In the interview Dre admits he was initially opposed to doing the movie, fearing it might tarnish the legacy of the crew or its members in some way. “Cube actually quarterbacked it. He went out and got eh first draft of the script done”. When he saw the script and had a complete change of heart. “And when Gary Greg got on board got in, that was it, I was on board” he said about the director.
