GRAMMY 2015 RECAP: EMINEM, BEYONCE, KENDRICK & PHARRELL DOMINATE WINS

So the 57th Grammys happened earlier this morning and if you were fast asleep like most of the Southern hemisphere, don’t worry, ‘cos as always, we’ve got you (with the awards that matter).

First thing’s first: despite the enormous commercial success Iggy Azelea enjoyed in the past year, she did not win any awards (much to Azalea Bank’s delight), being beaten out by Sam Smith for ‘Best New Artist’ and again by Eminem for ‘Best Rap Album.’ ‘Em also took the Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for The Monster which features Rihanna.
Kendrick Lamar stamped in name is history once again, winning 2 Grammys, Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song, both for his late 2014 single ‘I’.

But the big winners of the night were Pharrell Williams, who won Best Pop Solo (Girl), Best Urban contemporary album (Girl) and Best Music Video for ‘Happy’; Beyonce who won Best R&B Performance and Best R&B song both for ‘Drunk In Love’; and the man of the moment Sam Smith who won, well everything in between. Check out the winners list below and let us know who you think should’ve won in each category.
