It looks like Weezy was serious about his plans to leave his long time record label, owned by adoptive father, Birdman, afterall.
Yesterday TMZ reported that Lil Wayne has filed a lawsuit against Cash Money Records, suing Cash Money for a $51 million dollars. Wanye claims that he was supposed to receive an $8 million advance before starting production for Tha Carter V and the $2 upon its completion, both of which he claims he has not received.
But that’s not all. Wayne has asked a judge to declare him the joint copyright holder of all of Young Money Entertainment recordings. Yesterday (Jan. 27) it was reported that Lil Wayne has plans to take Nicki Minaj and Drake with him when he leaves.
Looks like the end of a dynasty. What this means for Nicki and Drake, caught in the middle between their support structure (Cash Money/Birdman) and the person who discovered them (Wayne), we are not sure.
Who do think should obtain them?
