We thought the Young Money camp was one happy family, but as it turns out, that’s far from reality. After blasting his record label on Twitter earlier this month, Tyga has now detailed his frustrations with Young Money and revealed that he doesn’t get along with Nicki Minaj and Drake, and even went as far as calling him fake. Shots fired!
In an interview with Vibe magazine, Tyga spoke his mind. “I tend to distance myself from them,” he said of Young Money. “I’m tryna go independent. I don’t really get along with Drake. I don’t really get along with Nicki.”
Oh yeah? “I don’t like Drake as a person. He’s just fake to me. I think his music is good, but we’re all different people. We were forced together and it was kinda’ like we were forcing relationships together.”
So, he wasn’t happy featuring on the remix of Drake’s The Motto?
Tyga continued, “I think being signed to Young Money, everybody felt like they had to force a relationship ‘cause Wayne put us together. At the end of the day the reason why I signed to Young Money is because of Wayne. Not because of Drake, not because of Nicki. It was because of Wayne and my relationship with him.”
It will be interesting to see how well Tyga does without Young Money.
